Classes at North Carolina State University are back in session and that means our residents have been making their way back to Raleigh, NC for another great semester here at The College Inn. While we hope everyone had an amazing holiday break, we were excited to help kick off NCSU Spring 2022 the right way with a variety of residence life events!
On Monday, January 10th, we started off our Welcome Back Week with our Breakfast- n’ -Go event, where we provide delicious chicken biscuits along with fresh fruit provided by Chick-fil-A to help our residents start their first week back in class off right in our clubhouse. Our residents were able to grab a quick bite to eat on their way to their first classes of the new semester. As they grabbed their treat, they were told about all the upcoming events we would be having throughout the week.
Day two of Welcome Back Week, we had our favorite mobile Coffee Truck business “Brewbox” visit the property. At the event, our residents were given the opportunity to get to know their fellow neighbors better by conversating while they wait in line for a hot or iced cup of coffee! Our residents enjoyed the atmosphere along with the welcoming & friendly attitudes that the Brewbox staff provided!
On our third day of Welcome Back Week, we held our version of Grocery Bingo in our clubhouse. We invited our residents to come to play a few rounds of BINGO to receive the Grocery Bags. The groceries consisted of things that they could use in their everyday life such as Nutella, Preggo, Tide Pods, Dryer Sheets, and a few snacks.
For day four, we held our Textbook Drive Thursday: Help One Another event, where we had a box for residents that had textbooks that they no longer needed or used. Then residents/students will have the opportunity to come and pick up whichever textbook they need! A Trade for Trade! We provided this opportunity for our residents to get a chance to help their fellow student friends/classmates!
On our very last event of Welcome Back Week, we held our PJs Kickback event right in our clubhouse. We offered our residents a chance to end their first week back in class with a bang. We provided pizza from Papa John’s as well as tasty snacks to create a fun environment for our residents to get to know each other better. It was a great social event with Music and a couple of Games!
It was an awesome week getting our residents geared up for a successful semester at North Carolina State University! We love having the opportunity to provide a best-in-class, NCSU off-campus housing experience to our residents, and hosting a variety of engaging events is just one of the many ways we strive to accomplish that. From the whole team here at The College Inn, we wish everyone an amazing Spring semester!
